Challenge:
Creative concept required to launch the O2 Experience prepay offer to the student market.  Innovative mechanic required in order to attract this challenging audience
Solution:
This activity needed to be marketed creatively in order to stand out from competing student events.  The ‘Headphone Disco' concept was the perfect fit due to the wireless music element and the freedom to choose the music, which fit well with the brand.

At the O2 Headphone Disco two DJ's play different music tracks over two radio channels.  Students are provided with wireless headphones to listen to music.  They can then switch between channels, which results in the DJ's battling for the crowd! 

The O2 Headphone Disco activity ran during RAG week in 12 colleges.  A specific O2 headphone visual was photographed for use on communication.  O2 brand ambassadors were present on campus on the day of each event switching students to the O2 network and promoting the event. 

The event was highly engaging and in turn lead to students interacting with the brand in an experiential and memorable way.
